  my mom called me yesterday to ask how i was doing.

  i hadn't seen her in a while, so it was nice to hear her voice.

  we went through the motions of jw small talk and then she started telling me about her co visit from last week.

  M.O. for the Wt. is the end is very, very near.  It's not around the corner but the world has turned the corner or we are at the doorstep of the time of the end then we was on the threshold of the door.  Finally the door is cracked open and the end is just about to happen.  These lies have been spoken since I was a little boy back in the 1950's.  So nothing new.  It is there only way to keep people scared.  Still Totally ADD

  What I Saw & Heard in the Oral Argument Hearing on January 14, 2015

  im not an attorney and i could not record the hearing, so please forgive me if i make mistakes in relating what i remember of the oral argument hearing for jane doe (i.e., candace conti) versus the watchtower bible & tract society on january 14, 2015 and the length of this post.. i arrived at the civic center/union plaza in san francisco, ca about 7:30. the area is very nice with a few homeless people sleeping in the park across from the courthouse.

  it took me about 10 minutes to find the clerks office for the court on the first floor, which opened at 8:00.. once the clerks office opened, the two clerks who i talked with were very polite and helpful.

  the arguments for jane doe (i.e., candace conti) versus the watchtower bible & tract society were scheduled 5th out of (i think) 8. while i was in the office a cameraman and another person for nbc arrived asking about the hearing for candace contis case.. the courtroom for the 1st appellate court is on the 4th floor and takes up most of that floor.

  Hello Robert, 

  Just read your post.  I don't know if I like this new site or not.  Thank you for your hard work to keep us up to date on what is going on with the Wt.  Hopefully everything will come out in the wash.  I remember the letters the Wt. sent all the congregation in the Tampa Bay area back in the early 90's when the P.O. of the Clearwater congregation was arrested for child abuse.  It was on all the TV news and newspapers at the time.  What I remember about that letter was how scared the Wt. sounded in the letter.  Saying things like don't talk to any news agencies, called the Wt. first and look out for those bad news people coming into your hall asking questions.  At the time I had the thinking of them against us.  So I was in agreement with it.  Now I see what cowards the Wt. really are.  Keep up the good work and I will talk to you soon.  Still Totally ADD

  i have noticed something even long before even looking into ttatt, something about morris bothered me.

  i am personally very attuned to body language, facial expressions and general subtleties in human interaction.

  there was something about his face that really bothered me, and i will explain it.

  JW TV is the reason for the hysteria in the KH

  if you, like me, have noticed the sudden increase in hysteria in the khs right now, i put it down to that jw tv site.

  its's far more extensive than i thought it was, i thought it was just 1, 1 hour program a month.

  there's a s*** load of videos on that site.. and the real problem, from just watching a clip from each video, is that these guys are clearly "mentally unstable".

  When the WT. started using the Web.  I knew this was going to be a monster tool for mind control.  Most of the JW's I have know all my life are uneducated in how to use reasoning on what is said to them.  The brain washing of the GB were they can do nothing wrong and you must obey them no matter what is deeply embedded in this cult.  So any questioning turns on a panic button inside the victim of Wt. brain washing.  This for the most part stops the victim to do nothing but do what the GB says and blindly do what is told of them.   It takes great effort on everyone who has escaped the grip of the Wt. Cult because of this brain washing program the Wt. uses.  That is why many here consider the Wt. to be a very dangerous cult.  My hope is my children will wake up before it is to late.  Good observation on what is going on.  Still Totally ADD

  There is a lot of stone on that island.  I am sure stoning would be enforced for crimes of not believing the GB, oral sex, sex before marriage so forth and so on.  After all back in the 1950's didn't a Wt. bring out if the Wt. could they would kill those who broke the law of the Wt.  That is what happens when Cults take control.  Still Totally ADD

  Back in 2004 when I was still in the Borg I spent 2 weeks at the Wt. painting the old factory buildings.  On my time off I would walk around and see all the buildings the Wt. owned and ask myself what was they using these buildings for.  For the most part the only thing they was being used for was to house bethelites who would just maintain the buildings.  That was the first time a very dim light bulb came on in my head.  That was the beginning of my journey getting out of the cult.  Remember in just a few years the Wt. kick out 1000's of bethelites on the idea that many congregation needed help with ones who had been to bethel.  I knew some who had been there for over 30 years being kick out.  They was scared to death about what was happening to them.  Then shortly after that  they started to sell them all off.  Still Totally ADD

  "You are still married, and still happy ?"

  i met an aging, well, late sixties, pioneer sister a few days back, from a congregation four removes away, and a different circuit to my old congo.

  i have known her since i was a kid.. i wasn't quite sure at first if she knew our "status" as we exchanged pleasantries, but it soon became clear she knew exactly our situation, that we walked away a few years ago.. she asked me about my views on life now, and listened respectfully, and said she appreciated my view, but a couple of questions that she threw at me, as in the thread title, showed that she was surprised that mrs phizzy and i had not gone off the rails after we left.. the mind control goes so very deep does it not ?

  she was surprised that our marriage hadn't failed, and that we were now happy.. i wonder if she will ever make the connection that the jw org has lied to her about those of us who leave ?.

  The misses and I are more happily married than ever before.  We no longer have this cult getting in the way of our marriage.  No we do not wife swap, go out and get drunk, take drugs, steal, and lie.  We do take more time for ourselves, we do have friends that are not part of a cult and yes we do Holidays and Birthdays.  If that makes us evil!  So be it.  The cult thinking is when you leave every bad thing will happen to you.  Funny the only thing that has happen to us has only been good except for our kids but then that's the cult causing that bad thing not us.  This March it will be 41 years for us and being out of the cult makes it even more special.  Still Totally ADD

  Welcome to this enlighten group of people.  If you want to know about where the christian faith really came from I would recommend reading the book "The Jesus Mysteries Was the "Original Jesus" A Pagan God?"  written by Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy.  It's a real eye opener.  Again it is good to have you on board.  Take Care.  Still Totally ADD

  Surprise ! Surprise ! 2015 Arrives and NO Armageddon or World's " End " - Go Figure

  i guess 99.9 % of ex-jw's here could have predicted as much .

  armageddon didn't happen in 1914. it didn't happen in 1925. it didn't happen in 1975. and it did not happen in 2014. since the wt society first predicted a world's end when their organization started in 1879 - 126 years have passed which according to any dictionary in any human language 126 years comprises of 4 separate generations each totaling 30 years each.

  plus 6 years into a 5th generation.

  I am glad the Big A did not come.  Got to see all those star war movies, star trek TV shows and movies, Avatar, new planet of the apes movies and the big one I got to see the Tampa Bay Buc's  win the super bowl in 2002.  LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL.

  I remember those who sold their homes back in early 70's and went out in service until 1975.  I saw the big let down of those in the KH when 1976 came along.  When I questioned the Wt. to my father back then about what happened he got so mad at me and said if I keep talking like that Jehovah was going to kill me and they would never talk to me again.  That fear keep me in for many years to come.  A few months before my dad back in 2009 I said to him the GB has had to made a mistake about 1914.  He did not get mad but said they just can't be wrong.  Little did I know then he had only a few months to live.  He spent a good part of his life pushing their Maz. and living for a dream that will never come true.  As I have gotten older I now see what he thought was truth.  That truth was something he thought would make his life better and make his family better.  I can not fault him for that.  Little did he know there are so many other directions one could go to make there life better.  I only he could have seen that.

  At any rate Happy New Year to you flipper and to all those who are on this board.  My wife and I have one of the best Holidays one could have.  Filled with lots of friends and good feelings.   My wife and I have been reading Mother Earth since the 1970's.  I think it is a great maz. for teaching people about gardening, being more self sufficient, canning, animals, building a house so forth and so on.  Here in PA at Seven Springs skiing resort just SE of Pittsburgh they in Sept. every year they have a 3 day Mother Earth Fair.  There are 100's of demo's, talks and hands on things to do when it comes to all the things I have just wrote about.  I know there are other great maz. out there that does this also like County Side but ME has been a main stay in our household since the 1970's.  Funny story, when we was in the Borg we had some friends over and they saw our ME maz. on the coffee table.  You would have thought they saw the devil himself when they saw the title of it.  I just look at them and told them it is all about gardening and being self sufficient  just like the Bible talks about.  All they could say was "all that sounds great".  My dream was always to live off the land and build my home with the logs on my property.  The Borg took that one away from me.  I to old now to do all that but I sure plant a mean garden every year and have a few chickens for those great eggs.  If you like this kind of thing I would recommend this Maz. very much.  Still Totally ADD
